Mariah Carey is joining "American Idol" as a new judge for season 12. The singer, will reportedly earn somewhere between 12 and 17 million dollars (USD) for the job. Carey will be one of the replacements for departing judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and "The Twilight Saga" continued their runs as teenage fan favorites, winning the top honors at the Teen Choice Awards. Country music star Swift, 22, picked up five awards, including choice music female artist and female country artist. Canadian pop star Bieber, 18, received a loud welcome as he performed two songs from his latest album at the show. The singer won four awards. Teen Choice favorite film "The Twilight Saga" picked up the Ultimate Choice Award this year, ahead of the franchise's final installment, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" coming out in theaters in November. Jermaine Jackson, brother of late pop singer Michael Jackson, said that his mother, Katherine, was not missing as other relatives reported to authorities this weekend, but resting with family in Arizona on "doctor's advice." Katherine Jackson, 82, was reported missing by relatives on Saturday (July 21). Jermaine Jackson put out a statement on Twitter on Sunday saying Katherine was "safe and well." From "Star Trek", "X-Men" and "American Dad!", British actor Patrick Stewart has played a number of roles but he said being an Olympic torch bearer on Monday (July 23) was one experience he'll never forget.
