Female Host: Many of you have emailed Better Celebrity hairstylist, Gregg Giannillo with your questions. So without splitting hairs, Gregg is answering one of your questions in today’s Better Tressed.
Gregg Giannillo: I’m here with another viewer email, I love these. This one is from Lorena, Lorena writes, “I have really thick hair I’m 13 by the way and curly hair. And I’m always wearing it in a ponytail because I have no idea what to do with it. I hate it. I never want it down ever. I’d like to, but I don’t know how to manage it, please message back.”
The first thing is a layered cut. Something that’s face framing, something that’s layered, layered around the perimeters, around the edges that will remove bulk and give you more manageability. Try to find somebody that really specializes in that. That would be number one.
Number two is a product line like Hair Rules. I’ve spoken to you about this before we’ve met the guy who created it. It’s actually a product line gear toward wavy, curly and kinky hair. There’s something in there for you, HairRules.com.
Thirdly, if you don’t want to go to that rule in any drugstores, CVS, Right Aid any of those, are a Garnier Fructis and now you can find this, it’s a new product called Curl Stopping Cream Gel this is the kind of gel that works for curl keeps it in its place and doesn’t have any rice crispies you know what I mean.
The fourth thing and this is the extreme case if none of these all these fails which I doubt try looking to a Brazilian Keratin Treatment. The Brazilian Keratin treatment will coat your hair, keep it really healthy and shiny but removes 100% of your frizz and 70% of your curl. That alone will get you a complete manageability at home.
So here you are four different options for one question. Thank you for writing in, keep them coming and I’ll talk to you soon.
