A man is arrested after allegedly slapping a police horse. As a general rule, it’s probably not wise to slap someone. It’s definitely not smart to whack a horse on the rear and worse, a police horse.Nevertheless a 22-year-old male from Brandon, Florida did exactly that. That’s right, he actually slapped the backside of a mounted police horse..According to the police, the man was witnessed slapping Rusty the horse four times. Rusty was sporting patches reading Gainesville Police Department, so there was no mistaking who he was affiliated with.The officers tried to arrest the male, but he ran. He was caught in a nearby parking lot and taken into custody.The man claimed he was afraid of the animal and only hit it twice, but he will face charges of striking a police animal. A few years back, another man was arrested for hitting a police horse.A man from New York reportedly punched the horse, named Jupiter after getting kicked out of a bar. Luckily the animal was not hurt.
