Audra: And when celebrities want to rock the Red Carpet there’s one person that they all turn to for their Fashion 411 and that’s Rachel Zoe. She’s a stylist who has become a celebrity in her own right and today she’s right here on Better to show us all the hottest fall trends.
Zoe: I grid that on the date granted that I hadn’t been on date for 20 years.
Audra: She’s a stylist to the stars and stars in her own reality show but when it comes to what’s hot Rachel Zoe is the one in the no.
Zoe: So at all I have a love story happening right now.
Audra: We sat down with Rachel and checkout the looks that she has put together for online retailer piperline.com.
Zoe: This jacket is by Emma Couture however the pair of seven Boyfriend jeans which I love and then of course Giuseppe is one of my favorite shoe designers and a leopard pump I mean everyone kind of needs a leopard pump and I’m a big fan.
Anyway the idea of this is that it’s very classic, I mean really kind of more this dressy more casual. You can wear it with a ruffle blouse with trousers with a pencil skirt or wear other jeans and your t-shirt so you really get a lot of mileage out of that.
Audra: Speaking of mileage Rachel says fashion is rolling back o the 80’s in a big way.
Zoe: Shoulder pads, big shoulder pads and you know lots of plummets, and spikes and zippers and buckles and corset belts, double wraps, skinny belts with garments on them and neon whites really as 80’s, 80’s everywhere.
Audra: Including a few trends which were recently major fashion don’ts.
Zoe: A lot of jumpsuits. My clients right now seem to be— I mean almost all of them have actually locked a jumpsuit at some point.
Audra: And don’t forget those acid wash jeans.
Zoe: It’s the thing I said, I would never ever, ever have on body again or ever see again come back in fashion as for— here they are and here to stay.
Audra: And so as her show the Rachel Zoe Project no in its second season, we asked her what viewers could expect this time around.
Zoe: We go to Paris which is of course the highlight for me and just more of building my— there’s a lot of stuff that happens day to day and you really see the relationship between Brad and Taylor Grow and a more mature way they communicate much better, for better or for worst to be honest because they do still have their moments.
Host: Moments all caught by the ever present cameras, but Rachel said she doesn’t mind them following her around.
Zoe: Never know that their there. I’ll be totally honest with you because the thing is and that is what I always tell it’s like we see that I am on camera and seen with Taylor and seen with Brad. We’re so immersed in kind of what we’re doing in any given time and you actually don’t even notice that their there.
Which I’m happy about because I don’t think that I could actually be the real me if I was really conscious of the cameras so the burden is I a not a— any stretch of the imagination.
Host: Well it’s not always easy to balance building her brand keeping celebs happy while making good TV. Rachel says in the end her fans make it all worthwhile.
Zoe: I have to tell you I have gotten some of the most incredible comments and many that actually bring me to tears. You know I have had several that were cancer patients going through chemotherapy that just you know want to feel better about themselves want to feel pretty again and that’s in the show got really excited of reading a book that means to say to dress up again.
Host: And Rachel’s Pics can be found on Piperline’s website you can also catch her show the Rachel Zoe project on Bravo Mondays at 10 PM.
