Oh, yeah! Here is the problem some idiot use the wrong cable staple to affix this little voltage wire to the ceiling. That can be a big problem. The reason why, is little voltage wires have really thin insulation. And if you use the wrong cable staple, hit it too hard, you will cut to the insulation, and short the wire.

There are all different types of low voltage wire. You may use it for your doorbell, telephone wiring, computer wiring, and thermostat wiring. Also to use this, you have to use the right staples to affix it to wood-for-wood choice.

You can use the traditional old fashioned insulated staples. These are available in pockets. You can get them at any hardware store or home center. They are easy to use, and they have a nice cardboard cover that allows you to gently tap the staple into the wood, and protect the wires so that you do not cut through it.

One of the ways I like to do it though is use a nice stapler. Do not confuse this stapler with traditional staplers. This one has a special tip, and use special staples that are rounded. So that when you drive the staple into the wood, it basically shields the wire, and it has a hump in it, so that it does not crush the insulation and cut through the wiring. Oh, yeah! These cable staplers, they are the best.
