Audra Lowe: These days’ people are spending more time at home to save money so
lifestyle expert Mina Jacqueline-Au is here with some unique ideas that
will add a little fun and in otherwise ordinary day at home and in

Mina Jacqueline-Au: Exactly, thank you for having me.
Audra Lowe: How do you find these items first of all, where do you get all of them.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: You know what I did a lot of research because you know I’m spending a
lot of time at home now, I just move so I really want to enjoy my
environment, I’ve travelling less a little bit this year so I’m--
Audra Lowe: That is in your house.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Yes, so you know I’m travelling less and I’m just like you know I don’t
want to be just at home, I want to have something to do, I want to have
something fun when I’m craving something that I want which is all the
time. I want to be able to make that thing at home, so I’ve been doing a lot
of research talking to a lot of experts, a lot of editor friends of mine. And
I’ve came up with the few items that I thought everyone and they
interested in.
Audra Lowe: And the first thing that you have over here is the water filter but not just
any a water filter right?
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Right, it’s like the Brita that you have at home which is great, Brita are
great too but this is something that dispenses water, hot water, cold water
and room temperature water.
Audra Lowe: Okay, three different temperatures.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: So you know I can make hot tea without having to boil water.
Audra Lowe: Right.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: It’s like the dispenser that you have in your office except this is compact
and you will be using top water, you don’t have to buy bottle water.
Audra Lowe: I like it, it’s not new mongoose either.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Right, and it looks good.
Audra Lowe: Yeah. It is not looking candle but not just the regular candles that you buy,
you see we should pay attention to the soy and bees wax.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Exactly, I think you know what you can’t see doesn’t mean it’s not
something that can hurt you. So, do your research I know a lot people love
candles, I love candles but don’t just go out and buy any candle that you
think smells good. Of course choose the scent that you love, choose the
scent that will transport your home into you know another environment.
Audra Lowe: Right.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: But make sure the wax is a bees wax or soil wax or vegetable wax like to
see the friends candle I have here which is great and the weight is great, let
free. Because what is giving off in the air you know you inhaling it
exactly.
Audra Lowe: And these are very harmless, they are expensive and you can remove as
you want right.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Yeah, I love this you know it’s a new concepts, people just starting to have
this you can buy at very inexpensive in target, they come in all different
shapes and sizes and you know themes so you know like I have a valentine
stay theme here and I guess you for girls around.
Audra Lowe: Right.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: They’re removable, they won’t leave any marks on the wall, so for
example I have a silver wall in my house and I’m making a winter
wonderland scene.
Audra Lowe: No need to paint everything.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: No, exactly. But its looks exactly like a mirror.
Audra Lowe: Okay.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Its looks like I have someone common and paint it.
Audra Lowe: Yeah.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Now afterwards I remove and I will have my silver wall back.
Audra Lowe: And move on.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Exactly.
Audra Lowe: And other deal bulb here, I am just looking at the package here and it says
three year warranty any kind of light becomes a three year warranty I like
but this is special right?
Mina Jacqueline-Au: This is special its three year but it last ten years.
Audra Lowe: What?
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Now there are also no mercury in the bulb so incase you break it and you
have small children at home I mean it just much safer. Of course it cost a
little bit more than you know what you buy in Home Depot or anything.
But it’s worth it I mean it last ten years you don’t have to change any
bulbs.
Audra Lowe: Exactly, and before we go we’ve all heard about ice cream makers but this
one is also a yogurt and sorbet maker too?
Mina Jacqueline-Au: Exactly and you can make milk shakes and smoothies in there.
Audra Lowe: Oh my god.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: So you know I know ice makers are very common in a lot of households
but this is different.
Audra Lowe: Exactly.
Mina Jacqueline-Au: It doesn’t cost any more than an ice cream maker it’s only a hundred
dollars but I’m making you know gourmet ice cream and I’m making a
lavender honey ice cream at home. You can even buy that in the
supermarket.
