Lisa Rinna Talks About Harry Loves Lisa

Rhiannon Ally: Welcome back to Hot Topics. We’re here with the lovely author, TV host, you name it she’s done it Lisa Rinna is joining us today. Thanks for sticking around.

Lisa Rinna: Thanks for having me.

Rhiannon Ally: Now, first of all, let’s talk—you have a new reality show coming out? How exciting.

Lisa Rinna: Yes. Harry and I did a show for TV Land and it will premiere on October and it’s called Harry Loves Lisa.

Rhiannon Ally: How cute.

Lisa Rinna: And it really was fun. I have to say we had a great time I don’t know what it would be like because it’s really about behind the scenes of this life that we live. And you may us or may see me and have an image or project something on that you think we are. But I’m here to say that once you watch our show you will see a whole new bag of worms opened out. And it’s really been a wonderful experience and I look forward to having you watch it. It’s really great.

Rhiannon Ally: Was is a struggle at all having TV crews around all the time in your personal day-to-day stuff?

Lisa Rinna: You know no, we liked it. I don’t know what that says about us. I’d probably says way too much but I got to work with my family, I get to work at home. It was the best three months that I’ve had because we really got to spend time together. Luckily, we worked with the crew that was so respectful and so lovely and became like a family and the kids of course love the crew and---

Rhiannon Ally: That’s great.

Lisa Rinna: It was wonderful, it was a great experience and I think that if you care to know what’s it’s like to be married to Harry Hamlin or myself and see how it works, how we do, what we do in Hollywood with the kids with everything else.

Rhiannon Ally: How do you do it all? What is your secret? You juggle so many things.

Lisa Rinna: You know I’m like any other working mom there’s no secret to it. There really isn’t. It’s called multitasking and we all know what that’s about and I think what so interesting about what we’re talking about today sex, brain, body connection that’s the first thing that goes on the back burner I mean there’s so many things that go on the back burner but women don’t want to take care of themselves. They want to put themselves first and I’ve really learned that over the last few years because if I’m not good no one else is—if I’m not taking of myself no one else is going to be taking care off. So I’ve really learned that I’m really trying to show my girls.

Rhiannon Ally: It’s hard women to do that to take care of themselves as well.

Lisa Rinna: It is hard for woman. It is but if you don’t then you don’t feel good about yourself. And if you don’t feel good about yourself well how can you be there and be intimate with your husband and even feel sexy or feel good. It’s so, so very important. So I’m here to help empower women I think it’s my job because I do so much and I get through it, I do it you just have to do it.

Rhiannon Ally: Okay, we have to ask, we loved you as Taylor on the original Melrose Place. Now if the show comes back—

Lisa Rinna: Again for like the third time--

Rhiannon Ally: Yes, exactly. Any change shall be making any cameos?

Lisa Rinna: Oh gosh, I don’t know I think maybe Taylor had her day. I think maybe Taylor has come and gone who knows it was really fun. I had a great time and I’ve been very fortunate.

Rhiannon Ally: And you’ve had such a great career.

Lisa Rinna: I have been lucky, lucky, lucky.

Rhiannon Ally: We’ve heard that Miley Cyrus actually gave a private concert for you guys.

Lisa Rinna: Wow. You know Miley has been a dear friend. I met Miley. I was just talking about this in the car which was 11 years old. She came on the soap talk set and she was just brand new Miley and to see her grow into this beautiful young woman I’m so proud of her. She’s such an amazing role model for girls and my girls and she’s been nothing but brilliantly kind to us and my girls and I love her.
