Audra Lowe: I've got a question for you, how would you like to look and feel younger without drugs, surgery, shots any of those extreme measures so lot of people would. JB Berns is one of the top 10 personal trainers in America, he's also the author of the Do It or Age Quickly, and JB is sharing what he calls safe, easy, and life extending secrets and here is the good part, each of them takes just 60 seconds that's what I love to hear. 60 seconds really JB?
JB Berns: It's that easy yes.
Audra Lowe: Okay you've got 21 practices in your book; we got to put you to the test. You have no idea what's one is going to ask you about. But I would love to know you give as far as tips or concerned for these particular topics. The first one is improving your energy flow as you sleep, how do you do that in 60 seconds?
JB Berns: Okay, my background is into the martial arts and yoga training, so for a while when I thought clients, they say, listen put down that stuff, this information that's very unique and eclectic put it down on a book or log.
So this is how I put it together and the first thing you talk about is sleep, we sleep a third of our life away so sleeping is so important. Stress during the day but people don't look at the exact posture that you are sleeping I'm insomnia for years and I asked one of my instructors what am I doing wrong, he said first JB look at the posture you are sleeping in. If you are sleeping in a prone position, meaning on your stomach, not good, puts a lot of pressure on your organs a lot of pressure on your neck and your neck and your lower back. If you are sleeping in a fetal position on your left side, meaning leaning on your heart, not good at all, because your heart has to pump that much harder because all your weight is on it.
So the best place or the best posture to sleep in supine position on your back, no pressure on your organs or fetal position, left side up so on your right side with heart up. And that will increase the ease of your sleeping, so look at the physical posture.
Audra Lowe: Interesting.
JB Berns: Difficult to do initially but if you do it each day you'll get into that format.
Audra Lowe: You just talked about stress also too, but breathing I know has a lot to do with that so in 60 seconds or less what can you do, what you are supposed to, just count to ten, take 60 seconds to do something like that?
JB Berns: Going back to the sleep, you breathe correctly when you sleep. When I'm talking about now, you know I'm breathing correctly, the right way to breathe is rhymically, deep therapeutic breaths, before you go to sleep ten deep breaths and when you awake ten deep breaths it lowers your heart rate. Breathing is the most important thing in life.
Audra Lowe: That was my favorite one, a lot people are going to be asking about this when you have a tip for keeping a healthy hairline without plugs, without drugs, 60 seconds or less?
JB Berns: Yes, each day. It's difficult because there's a hereditary link, but you can slow down or retard this, and what you want to do is, its circulation, so you want to message your scalp vigorously once a day at least for 60 seconds and that will increase blood flow and over time slow down hair particle from popping out of the shaft.
Audra Lowe: So interesting like we have a few seconds left, if you can tell us about gorgeous skin, the ancient Chinese way, what can we do?
