If you would like to look back at our killer backcombing video, you will learn some good techniques on how to get some good volume which you can use towards your perfect pony to make it look fun and exciting, as well as to pump it up.

After you've done your backcombing or if you choose not to do your backcombing at all, smooth the outside hair and bring it toward the location that you want your ponytail to sit. Once you pick that location, bring all the hair into that direction, hold in a very secure manner, spraying the outside of your hair to get rid of flyaways. Grabbing your elastic, wrap it around to this area. Once it's secure, pull tight. You can then again hair spray any little extra flyaways.

If you want to jazz up your ponytail just a little bit more, you can take a little piece of hair from underneath the ponytail, wrap it around and bobby pin and place. Make sure that you've put your bobby pins in an ex-formation. You can then again put some hair spray on the outside of your ponytail to make it that much more exciting and that is how you make your perfect pony.
