Flag Day is a day for all Americans to celebrate and honor their flag, its makers and designers.
The American Flag is representative of its independents and unity as a nation. One nation under God in divisible.

The American flag has a proud and glorious history. It was at the lead of every battle fought by Americans, and many people have died protecting it. They even stance proudly on the surface of the moon. American’s pledge allegiance to their flag as a promise of loyalty and devotion their nation.
Flag Day is always celebrate on June 14th because on that day in 1777 that the Continental Congress pass an act of establishing an official flag for the new nation.
The revolution ordered that the flag of the United States be made of 13 stripes, alternating red and white. That the union be 13 stars, white and a blue field representing a new constellation.
While Flag Day was celebrated in various communities for years after Wilson’s proclamation, it was not until August 3, 1949 that President Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year as a National Flag Day.
Well, no one knows that exact origin of the first American flag. Some historian believed that it was designed by Congressman Francis Hopkinson and sewn by Philadelphia seamstress Betsy Ross.
Today, the flag consist of 13 horizontal stripes, 7 red alternating with 6 white.
The stripes represent the original 13 colonies while the stars represent the 50 seats of the union.
The colors of the flag are symbolic as well. Red symbolizes hardiness and valor, White symbolizes purity and innocence and Blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
