Among man’s greatest achievements are his works of art. I'm going to be taking you on a journey to discover the arts from a lot of different cultures from around the world, but before we get started I thought it might be a good idea to let you know some of the materials we’re going to be using and some of the things you may want to actually go out and purchase before you start to make some of the projects that we’re going to go through step-by-step on this DVD. You’ll probably going to want some kind of air-dry clay or you could even substitute Marble Magic for that. You’ll need tape and different kinds of glue and gluing mediums, you might want to get some polymer medium which is a great glue and also provides a gloss finish on artworks, scissors’, stapler, paintbrushes, we’re going to do some water coloring, we’re going to use some acrylic paint. We’re going to do some decorative things with raffia, which is a natural material. We’re going to use some dowel rods to make some Japanese scrolls. We’re going to do some wire sculptures. And we’re going to do some mask making. You’ll want markers, paint pens, some colored pencils, some oil pastels, just your regular pencils. That’s a good start and if you have most of these items we should be able to begin.
