Some studies have shown that the antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, but studies are still being done, and it hasn't been completely proven yet. On the flip side, studies have shown that eating a diet rich in antioxidant foods such as fruits, vegetables and nuts has been linked to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. The best sources of antioxidants are from foods such as the ones you see here: dark leafy greens, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, and also a variety of nuts, like sunflower seeds, almonds, and hazelnuts. If for some reason you're unable to get most of your antioxidants from food, you may want to consider taking a supplement, just be careful not to take too many because too many can be harmful to the body.
