Welcome to Art Lust, sponsored by Arts Origin. This episode we tackle Dream caused by the flight of a bee around a pomegranate a second before awakening by Salvatore Dali. That’s the flamboyant Spanish artist who dominated the surrealism movement with his genius. His full name is Salvatore Domingo Felipe Cito Dali (y) Dominich and first marquee of Fubo. He likes to wear fancy capes and walking sticks, he painted a still life so good, it got him kick out of college because his professor were jealous. But his work is, surreal to say the least, let’s take a look. Oh my goodness, Salvatore expresses the human dream state here in fodian terms. The subject here is a bee by the pomegranate, the subconscious converts this to the gun being the stinger and the tigers are the bee’s body and the fish is the head jumping out of the fruit. The lesson here of course is don’t leave a bottle open a pom by your bedside. Salvatore was a weird one, he woo his wife away from another marriage by smearing blood and dung on himself and he showed up to lectures wearing only a deep sea diving helmet and a pool cue. Random but, genius. See you next time on Art Lust. Don’t forget to visit our sponsor at www.artsorigin.com.
