Lauren Conrad Spring Line

Audra Lowe: Spring is here finally. Naturally for most of us who want to update
that wardrobe but beside the pastels and the sunglasses, where are
some of the other must haves this spring? Rhiannon met up with
reality star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad to find out.

Rhiannon: Known as the cast member of The Hills, nowadays, Lauren Conrad
is wearing many hats, TV star, author and fashion designer. We
caught up with Lauren in Sta. Monica as she gears up for her new
line Nicole’s.

Her new looks, thrilled about the West Coast Vibe.

Lauren Conrad: The LC Lauren Conrad line is very much of California brand. We
wanted to do that kind of California cool look wear. We look at
upcoming trends and styles and put our own twist on it.

Reana: Her inspiration to do her own line comes from her own difficulties.

Lauren Conrad: And it took me awhile to learn how to dress for my body type. I
think that a lot of times you see trends and you're like, “Oh, okay I
want to do that” because that’s in the season. And I think you don’t
want to become a fashion victim that way. You follow trends
blindly. They can choose with those and also dress to flatter your
self.

Rhiannon: Using choices from her line, we asked what would be the perfect
outfit for a night out with your girlfriends.

Lauren Conrad: I would probably do a sheath dress. This one’s easy. Belted, it
flatters all the conforms you see in a model so you could see it on.

Rhiannon: Lauren also has her own twist on what the must haves for spring
are, and they don’t include the typical choices.

Lauren Conrad: My favorite piece is the blazer. We’ve had it in several deliveries.
We just kind of update it. I just think it’s such a great basic.

Rhiannon: Fashion expert Lawrence Zarian who worked with Lauren for the
Kohl’s line agrees.

Lawrence Zarian: One thing blazer, skinny jean and probably the biker jacket. And
it’s again the hottest trends that are so affordable. Every woman
can wear a biker jacket. I don’t care how old you are. It just
depends what you pair it with.

it with. And the boyfriend blazer is just so chic. Roll the sleeves
back, pop the collar, takes you from day to night.

Rhiannon: Very lucky to --

Lawrence Zarian: Here she loves how excited I get. She loves how excited I go when
we talk about fashion.

Rhiannon: While putting the finishing touches on her new Kohl’s line, Lauren
is also building up her bestseller status, working on her third book.

Lauren Conrad: It’s been a really great process. It’s a lot of fun. I didn’t ever set
out to do that. It was something that kind of came to me. But I
enjoy it so much and I’m hoping that continue out to the series.
