Lance Armstrong on 2009 Tour de France Stage 14
Male: I would like to go back to Arcalis for just a second. When you said that Alberto’s attack was not the plan, if he had taken the jersey that day, it would really change the dynamic of the last three. Instead of AG2R at the front, we have seen Astana, I mean, looking back, can you give reflect on that a little bit, the difference the six seconds made.
Lance Armstrong: Yeah, we would have given it away. We would have let our break go and let them have ? try to selectively pick that break, say, you give a guy a few minutes and, that is what we always did in the past. I am assuming that is what Johan would have done again.
Or did you faint on those stages. It takes a lot of energy. You see it has taken a lot out of them although they are riding really well but yeah.
Male: Can you talk a little bit about the conversations you have had with Levi since his injury.
Lance Armstrong: Well. I have talked to them. Obviously, yesterday morning when I woke up and got the news and he had the surgery last night, came back to the hotel so he is with us last night and this morning. He was bumming, he was riding really well, and he was up there on the GC. When you could pull out your crystal ball and figure out how it would have gone, it would have been pretty cool but just terrible luck and he will be back.
