(Image source: CNN Money ) BY KATIE BRENNAN Lamborghini unveiled a $4 million supercar - the Veneno - (spelled with a V) at the Geneva Motor Show Tuesday to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann tells CNBC the Veneno is all about fulfilling dreams, among other things. “This is giving us a higher degree in design freedom. You can test new materials and technology. You have a positive cascade effect on the rest of the product line up.” Higher degree of design freedom is right. MSNBC explains the Veneno’s aerodynamics. “The front of the car is actually a giant wing. It basically will hold the car aerodynamically to the road as it reaches 220 miles per hour.” Yup, 220 miles per hour, Lamborghini’s fastest car yet. And, according to the car maker, the Veneno is appropriately named after a Spanish bull known for being among the fastest ever. Okay, they're only making three of them but still.” The Los Angeles Times explains what the three buyers will get for their $3.9 million. “A street-legal race car that will do zero-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top-speed of 220 mph. Like the Aventador it's based on, the Veneno has a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine, a seven-speed automated manual transmission, and permanent all-wheel-drive.” Lamborghini’s CEO won’t say who bought the cars but did let it slip two are headed to the U.S. and one to the Middle East.
