Kohler recently launched it's latest innovation -- the Flipside. The Flipside is a 4-way showerhead that gives four completely
different shower experiences. It's also rated as low-flow for water conservation. ServiceMagic.com's David Lupberger gets a demonstration from Brian Barnett of Kohler at the recent Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Atlanta.
David Lupberger: Hi, I’m David Lupberger with servicemagic.com. I’m here with Brian Barnett of Kohler and he’s going to tell us about a very user-friendly handheld shower.
Brian Barnett: This new hand shower is called Flipside, and it’s great because it incorporates new technology we call flip screen technology. But, that does allow you to actually access four completely different spray faces on one product.
Our previous products are limited to one spray face that you have to turn to actually access concentric rings of experience. Here you get four completely different spray faces that will allow you to do four completely different experiences. And all these experiences, since we’re Kohler, we named them with “K” names.
So, we dump one crazy “C” right here it’s called Koverage. It’s kind of your classic everyday spray. Next spray face gives you a really dense cloud of burst of water. We call that one Kotton. Next experience, we call it Komotion. It had a very visually interesting panama cyclones spray that gives you very damp, very full-covered spray.
Finally, we have a very thin spray called Kurrant that kind of gives you a really deep tissue massage. And all these products are available in brushed-nickel and polished-chrome and there are two different styles.
David Lupberger: How about the amount of water conservation point of view, does it need low flow requirements?
Brian Barnett: Currently, these facts are available in a 2.5 gallon per minute, which is the co-requirement for the US.
David Lupberger: Okay, so it does need the local requirement. So tell me what does the price is going on a hand shower like this.
Brian Barnett: The polished-chrome versions are $107 at least price and the brushed-nickel versions are $140, least price. This is a very easy, very efficient affordable upgrade for your shower.
David Lupberger: Right, is this available now? This is on the market, right?
Brian Barnett: This is available now, and once done the kitchen and bath show, is available in our wholesale channels.
David Lupberger: So you can get anywhere across the country?
Brian Barnett: Anywhere at your Kitchen and Bath show across the country.
David Lupberger: Terrific! Brian, thank you very much.
