Steve Watson: If you are looking for a quick and easy way to change the look of your kitchen a tile backsplash just like this is a fun and easy way to do it and you can find tiles like these at any home supply store. Other things you will need, a tile saw, couple of sponges, tape measure, level, rubber mallet; you need your mastic, your grout, your mastic trail, your grout trail, tile snips and a radical square. Okay if you want to do a backsplash like this it’s really, really simple we talk about the supplies and now is some easy steps to do it yourself. First of all you want to take your mastic and you trail it all with your mastic trail and you want to take it and give teeth so you put it on and be generous with your mastic and that’s glued and hold your tiled to the wall. Use the teeth to give it grout in each direction; the grouts will help you hold the tile in the place. Then you take your tile and put it in the place give it a nice twist and press. You need to use a rubber mallet just to make sure it’s in time. And do all of your big pieces first, cut around there outlets and put them in then you set back and you know what you are going to do to cut around some of your smaller pieces like the window. You want to check your spacing between all of your tiles. Once you have all your tile in the place make sure is everything is tightly against the wall or any surface your tiling and leave it for 24 hours. When you come back the next day you mix up your grout and give it a nice cake butter consistency then you use your grout trail which is a rubber trail and make sure that trail is very clean. You tape the grout and put onto the tile and be very generous with it, it is all over the tile and you clean your trail and you want to prêt holding your trail in a 45 degree angle and pressing hard against the tile making sure that all the grout gets into the groves they have to penetrate all the way. Now it’s going to be a little scary because it’s going to be real dirty and you are going to grout all over your tile and let it dry, take a wet sponge and clean it off really, really good and you will see what is going look like and come back in the couple of hours and sit back and enjoy your work. You want more information on this project, click on go list and will sent you a material lists right to your cell phone. This entire project will take you at least two days but it’s a quick fun and easy way to change the look of your entire kitchen.
