One of Britain's most celebrated authors has launched a withering attack on Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, the pregnant wife of Prince William, branding her a "shop-window mannequin" with a plastic smile whose only role in life is to breed. In an unusually scathing public attack on a British royal, two-time Booker Prize winner Hilary Mantel said the princess had no personality, a "perfect plastic smile" and appears to have been designed by a committee. Kate Middleton, who made her first solo outing since December on Tuesday at a charity in London, did not respond to the comments. It's the first public appearance she's made since becoming visibly pregnant. Rapper Jay-Z will return to the London Olympics site this summer where he performed at the 2012 Paralympics, as the sporting complex takes on a new life as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z were named on Tuesday (February 19) as headline acts for the Wireless Festival on July 12 and July 13. Other acts will include Snoop Dogg, John Legend, and Frank Ocean. Live Nation said in January that it had secured exclusive rights in 2013 to host concerts in the Olympic Park and Stadium complex. The Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie announced on Monday (February 18) that she and her husband, actor Josh Duhamel, are expecting a baby. It is the first child for the couple, who married in 2009.
