IRS Small Businesses with Employees
Hi, I’m Barlo Brown from the IRS. If your small business has employees, you may be wondering what forms you need to file. Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement goes to all your employees by January 31. You’ll need the File Form 941-Employers Quarterly Federal Tax Return unless the IRS has instructed you to follow the new Annual Employment Tax Return Form 944 and don’t forget to follow Form 940-Employers Annual Federal Unemployment “FUTA” Tax Return.
These filing requirements and other tax responsibilities are outlined in publication 15 also known as Circular E, Employers Tax Guide.
You can download publication 15 from our website IRS.gov or order it by phone at 1800 tax form.
