iRobot Roomba 560 – Review

What’s up everyone, John Rettinger here with preview for you of the iRobot Roomba560 also known as the Vacuum cleaning robot.

I got to say I love the Roomba. Now there a couple of reasons that I love it so we just to make big factor in it tech not. It’s pretty freaking cool I have a robot do your vacuuming. We just want to get your geek on, have your friends come over and hit the vacuum. It’s a really cool to see it in action. It’s not the best vacuum in the world. Certainly getting one of those handhelds and then it go through the carpet, place by place. Its going to do a better job vacuuming.

But that’s not really what the Roomba’s about. It does an adequate job vacuuming but it doesn’t ‘without you having to do the vacuuming. So, that maybe if we sound a little bit on the lazy side, I’m not too lazy to vacuum but in short the imagination. I just think its freaking cool.

So the Roomba, what it does is I’m going to show you the back of it. You can see it’s got these two brushes, one here, one here and as it goes around it just sucks up and vacuums. It’s got a filter and a tray and it’s got another brush that pulls up your debris.

Now I will say using the Roomba is not like using another vacuum. Maybe you have to clean it at the end of every use or once a week. The Roomba is a little bit high maintenance. I’ve got a cat. My cat sheds a lot like I showed with you guys during my un-boxing or during my demonstration to Roomba.

So there’s a decent of cat hair on my floor no matter how much I brush her or really how much I vacuum and cat hair if you have a lot of dust and debris it’s going to get caught in the bristles. We’re going to constantly get the, please clean Roomba’s brushes and that’s because this thing talks to you.

If it’s got an air it will tell you what the air is. If you need its filter clean, if it’s full. If one of the brushes dirty or needs to be clean it will tell you which totally adds the cool factor. I know it make you sounds a little bit geeky, dorky but I’m a tech reviewer. I’m a geek. It’s got it what I did.

So it does like I said in adequate job cleaning. You can send to clean. It will clean your entire house or apartment up to four to five rooms and when its done it will come right back to its dock and charge it. It does come with two virtual walls. You can keep it confine to a space or you can set it to round in other rooms. I’m going to say that does go randomly.

So it takes a while to go across the whole room but if you leave it and as you don’t get a warning or an air message it will get your whole floor. I don’t have the largest apartment in the world. You guys may have seen that during my boxing but it does clean my entire place in about 25 minute so thinking that’s probably about an average per room. It’s got a smooth mode but this particularly dirty spot on the floor, you hit spot kind of spins around, sort of a seashell pattern even not shells if you will and it will clean that particular area.

Let’s he know when there’s a dirty area as well. There’s a blue light that will glow on top to let you know there’s been a dirt spot and when it’s done it’ll just keep going on its way. All this sort of in Geek fun robot action does come at steep price. The iRobot Roomba 560 is going to run you a wabbing with another computer screen, 379 bucks, $380.00 will get you the full iRobot Roomba with the two virtual walls, an extra filter and extra storage piece. In my mind it’s a worth low price to pay.

Like I said, I’m kind of lazy to vacuum so often times I forget my girlfriends has allergies, sometimes friends come over. If I don’t vacuum that day you know they can have some sort of reaction. So I can set the Roomba in fact that you said it to vacuum everyday while I’m gone.

Everyday at noon, this little guy is going hard work vacuuming my floor, help me have to worry about it and it’s a little piece of modern luxury. Certainly it’s not a necessity. I could just easily use regular vacuum and sometimes I do but the Roomba is just cool I have a robot and go vacuum your floor.

You can send it like I said to schedule it, it’s got clock. It doesn’t definite an adequate job of vacuuming. Try to rate this on a one to five its only a vacuum skills so comparing this all their hand holds probably only get to two and a half to three but comparing this, giving as a score rather on entire package so knowing what you’re getting. Knowing you’re getting an automated robot vacuum, it’s going to be a five. It really is just cool. Check out my demo if you have of the Roomba in action and currently see the neat factor to it.

I know this sounds sort of silly but often times I sit there and just watch the thing vacuum. The reason I could just take the vacuum doing myself but its just kind of fun to watch. Its cool if the cat chase around and kind of bad at it, get scared and run away but just enjoy both. Your pets they’re going to kick out of it or hate one of the two.
