Cabinet knobs have a big impact on the way your cabinets look and you will not believe how easy they are to install. I am Meagan Carter and this is AsktheDecorator.
In a matter of minutes, you can completely change the entire look of your cabinets by adding new cabinet knobs. I like cabinet poles which require two holes to be replaced, cabinet knob only need one hole, which means they are easier to install and easier to replace. If you are planning on installing cabinet knobs, all you will need is a pen and pencil and measuring tape, a level, a drill with the right size drill bit, a screwdriver and cabinet knobs.
When choosing which cabinet knobs to use, make sure the screw that comes with the knobs is the right size for your cabinet door or drawer depth. If the screw is too long or too short, you will need to buy the appropriate size screw. After getting the correct cabinet knobs and screws, determine where you want the cabinet knobs to be placed on your cabinets. Using measuring tape to find the exact placement and you use those measurements to mark the placement of the knobs on each door. If you are worried about writing on your cabinets, put painter’s tape on the cabinet before marking where you want the cabinet knobs to go. After marking the placement for each cabinet knob, take a level to make sure your placement is leveled. Once they are leveled, it is time to start drilling. Before you drill, make sure your drill bit is the correct size for the screws you will be using, then drill your hole. Put your cabinet knobs on the door and screw them in place. Continue doing that on all of your drawers and doors until they are all attached.
Wow, what a difference if you knew cabinet knobs can make. This old cabinet looks all dressed up now. I am Meagan Carter and this is AsktheDecorator.
