Illinois Lottery Checks Bounced

Winning the lottery typically means getting paid. But as HLN reports, eight Illinois citizens went from being lucky to disappointed.

When the winners went to cash their checks, they bounced! Totalled $9,940, a spokesperson for the Illinois lottery said the checks bounced because the office forgot to approve the funds. The state is looking at changing procedures to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again. Fortunately, all winners eventually got their money.
