Were you trying to take your life when you overdosed on pills and wine after your hysterectomy?

At one point, yes. I just thought that I just felt that I didn’t feel welcome at home because all my siblings, at least all my sisters most of them had kids. You know they have families now. I have 15 nieces and nephews so even when I go home I kind of like I didn’t belong but yet I’m not here. I’m alone and I don’t have any family and I’m working and then so I think I have that one time I’m just like or even a couple of times I don’t like it. “Oh! This is ridiculous. I’m not going through this for the rest of my life”. You know, what’s going to happen when I’m 40, 50—you know what now. And I think there’s a set to that point but when I actually get to the lowest point where to go, I could just take all of these pills right now and all this time went on.

Even that glimpse to that, that little hope of you can do this whether it’s my family and I praise worship, reading, something, an encouraging words, something sparks you to keep going and what really sparking me is me mentoring young women and I think, “Oh! Wait a minute. What about—because it just I can just imagine getting for best and everything myself in a year or two knowing all these resources, how can I help somebody younger than me even with the girls that I’m mentoring and it makes my—you don’t have testimony without task. There you go. That’s exactly what it’s about. You do now possess by without task and that will make you stronger.
