I'm Dan Ackerman and we are taking a look at the HP believed had 900. -- this is HP's business focused windows eight Intel atom powered tablet. Of course we take a look at a lot of these Intel atom tablets that'll run windows eight you know they've got touch screens that -- -- fairly similar slates what makes this one. Different to offer business users. Is that it's got some security stuff built in that your IT department will be interested in. Interestingly doesn't have a USB port -- -- easily successful SD card slot or anything. I apparently that's a concern for for corporate types sometimes for security you don't want to informative that I guess with a nasty gardeners beastie -- -- company data right away. You can however get all of those connections on various that accessories and jackets and -- and stands that that you could bond with the leap pad. And that's how -- the most interesting thing about this system vs other windows eight -- tablet that we've seen that that is a really nice ecosystem of stuff. You've got the actual tablet itself. I've got a dock right here -- his -- -- -- That has some ports and connections in the back including HDMI and VGA. And then you can also get. This sort of jacket right here and that's got -- connections on it also and even a panel where you can put in -- sold separately battery. -- make it kind of a battery pack two give yourself you know longer time away from the plug. And -- also. A keyboard case to call this from the productivity jacket. It folds up kind of like -- an iPad keyboard case doesn't mean he slipped a tablet inside and she got a very nice hefty keyboard right here. And some ports and connections in the back. -- the one problem with we have the tablet in this their productivity jacket. -- -- great keyboard experience but this -- touchpad like on the Microsoft surface pro. There's no little pointing stick like Lenovo has and one of its tablet that keyboard stands. -- basically stuck with using the keyboard and then your finger as a mouse which yet doesn't really work that great for basic productivity. I actually into the pairing this with a standalone touchpad I'll be you can do that with announcing networks also put it really would've liked to think that that built them. Another thing that's a little bit different about this particular tablet is that it has a sixteen by ten aspect -- -- -- Instead of a sixteen by nine screen which is what you see most consumer products. -- that gives you a little more vertical space to work with now a lot of business laptops are actually still like that and of course the biggest difference -- in price. This starts off at that 699 for 32 gig version this is -- 799 version you do get AM mobile broadband antenna for that. And then when you and all of these different accessories that cost anywhere from. 79 to 200 guards if you got all this stuff you'd be spending about 12100 dollars which is frankly not to buy a thirteen inch MacBook Air. Or the out of Microsoft's surface pro which has a core I five CPU or a lot of other different types of laptops or tablets. -- that really means that for consumers. This kind of guy is only worth -- if you have a company IT department to shell out for -- I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the HP -- has 900.
