Bright colors are really hot this season, reds, orange, geishas. Most people don't want to wear bright shades because they are afraid they'll look like a clown.

If you are going to wear a bright shade of lip color don't wear too much eye makeup, you want to kind of even it out, balance it out, I am using a bright pink, bright orange, geisha, bright red, these are all great colors. It's a fun trend that you can use actually all season long. It's great for day-time or for night time. These colors are also great in lip gloss which you can apply over the lipstick if you want for a little bit more of patent leather look.
