Veronica:Gap is known for the comfortable and always fashionable, Hi and welcome to watchmojo.com. I'm your host Veronica here to show how GAP is being color back this spring season.
Here with Tara Wickwire the PR Director of the Gap. Can you tell us what do you expect this season?
Tara Wickwire: For spring, Gap is really about taking great classic pieces and injecting them with the shot of bold color. You know historically spring has been more of pastels, you more toned down muted shades, but this year we've brought spring so many exciting colors.
Thinking about color, I think that's most important, because chances are most will have the basic neutral essentials in their closets, like a white shirt, a great pair of colored trousers, a great jeans. So I think taking something like this, this is our classic peacock and a great green, it's just that very affordable priced piece, so you can add it to your wardrobe, and just look completely updated.
Veronica: Can everyone wear these bold colors?
Tara Wickwire: Well, I think it's about finding the color that really works for you, you have colors in the warmer tones, pink, oranges, and yellows, and then on the cooler side, you can go for a cobalt blue or metallic green. I think it's sort of experimenting with these colors, and finding all what's flattering on you. What's your favorite and what of course what's best of what you currently own in your wardrobe.
Veronica: So, once you have your outfit chosen, how do you polish it off?
Tara Wickwire: Great accessories, and Gap for spring, we're doing up a whole great range of scarf like this one, little crinkled cotton scarf, with just a little touch of pattern. Another great way to complete your look of course is always through a great handbag. So here we have the floral pattern.
You know in this spring palette, you can go for pattern like this, or even like a simple solid handbag, but just that it's oversize and will hold all your essentials.
Veronica: What's your style outfit for the man?
Tara Wickwire: Color is also a big statement for men this season, and also we're seeing the patterns of the season for spring in these stripes and then we have rooted it in a basic pair of trousers, just a deeper kind of cement color.
Veronica: The Gaps have been around a while, how does it always stay in style?
Tara Wickwire: We've always been known to be the destination for classic pieces, and I think that's sort of our secret, Khakis, the white shirts that people need, white t-shirts, and that way we've kept the style over the years, since 1969.
