What’s happening? I’m Brian Tong and welcome to the Applebyte with our CNET officers close for the holidays we decided to read off your emails and showcase if you ask. Now, we’ve had more than a few people ask is this, Brando Hotlshousen I hope I didn’t put your name dude he writes, Hey Brian, I would like to know if Apple will add a turn by turn solutions to the iPhone? Well Brando currently Apple is said nothing about doing it on the road but two GPS companies Tomtom and Telenav have both said they’re working on it. Now we haven’t seen a single demo and it’s been about six months since we’ve heard from them so I’m hoping to see it but its looks like its waste away. Yuvraj writes, Hey I want to know hot to delete synced photos on the iPhone 3G. Well unfortunately Yuvraj you can’t delete them when your iPhone is connected through computer and your syncing photos specifically from you computers collection it’s only a one way sync so if you’re running out of space when your iPhone is plug in go to the photo tab on iTunes and makes some changes. Okay now let’s look at an iPhone application that I’ve excite about. This one is a web app so go to safari and punch in m.tivo.com for you Tivo users out there it allows you to do basic searches but more importantly setup your Tivo to record TV shows that you find out about later. It’s pretty clean, it could be a little easily use but I’m happy with it and I’m sure you will be too. Okay a lot of people have also read in about app that they use to backup there computer to an external hard drive without using time machine. The utility that I recommend is carbon copy clutter, it’s free and you will get a file for file copier of your computer that also bootable from that external drive. So just select the source of this then choose the target disc that you’re copying too and the carbon copy away. If that didn’t make sense just write me. Okay back to the email, Shawn S says, Hello CNET, maybe I’m missing this feature but how do you cancel a text message mid-sending. I have done this on other phones but I have no clue how to do it on the iPhone, please help! Okay Shawn I feel like I’m saying no a lot today but on the iPhone you can do it. It’s not possible so just make sure that you realize that special someone will actually be able to read that drunk and text you sent at 2am. Alright guys next week will be our special Mac World preview edition so make sure you tune in for that and email us at the firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us what you like to see in future shows. I’m Brian Tong for cnet.com thanks for watching and come back next time for another bite of the Apple.
