Hello, this video is going to be quite similar to the one I did on Keno. Basically I got a Sony handy cam mini TV, camcorder, one with model of the HC53 and when you try to report video onto the computer by fire ware, Keno would not work unless I use it as root. In other words I have to put in a command in the terminal, well I just had a look at hidden life and I probably have to do the same thing there because worker wise and I have a read a few people having the same problem and I’m here to fix it. Well in this video I’m going to show you how you can get a work around.
I’m going to show you when I load up, its in the sound video and it will happen here if you click on record monitor and you click on this icon here to connect your camcorder. Its not connected but it is because everything is wide and fine, so the work around—by the way you’ve missed checking the settings here under settings configure other life that you capture this fire wire just in case. There are still some work where you have to close it down and follow this instruction. You would put to applications, accessories, terminal, you type in this following command.
You just zoom in to see a few, operate on the description on your way, use your password and there we go, it will open. Now before you do anything here, what you must do, you see we don’t get a wizard asking you where you want to place things. Click on settings, go to configure, Keno life and to miscellaneous and you choose your default profile. Now mine is DV pal wide screen but you can use from a variety there, it’s up to you. I would then click on environment and I would click on this one here, defaults folders and the project folder. Another gate to your home folder with your name and videos because we don’t do that because you’re working your root, the project folder will be en route, so when you save your work your being route. So when you go out to route you have to go back into every time you want to get your work, well that just seems impractical.
So if you save on your project folder, to your home folder with your name and the videos all of your choosing and then you click right and okay and that’s it. actually you have to go in there, so you have to go into every time now. Now this is just a really quick tip, so when route, click on record monitor, well it’s not working, that’s great. Now there it is now, there must be something wrong with this PC of mine. What you do is just click on connect, initializing and its not working, lovely.
It is now, so as you can see there is not a lot of folks in this way of line, its incredible. Anyway that’s how you can get it to work there and mine obviously is set to play out the cassette but you can put it onto if you want to record yourself is to—anyways it’s just a bit of a quick tip anyway. Hope you can get it to work like I can, thanks for watching.
