Hey everyone this is YTubeTutorials, so I am going to show you how to use your Camtasia recordings on Windows Moviemaker. So to do this you’re going to need three things an internet browser a movie maker folder in your CD drive on the program files and again, camrec file. So to do this go ahead and go to papajohn.org so you can go there.

One thing that I miss you are also going use screen resolution of 1280x 720, if you don’t have it this will not work. And I will post all the resolutions possible and description, so if you’re not sure go ahead and go for the description so once you go in papajohn.org click on the tab that says WMV-HD and introduction. Scroll down until you see the picture of this turtle, and then these are the resolutions available 960x720; 1440x1080 or wide screen 1280x720 and 1920 by 1080 so if you don’t have any of those this will not work and you can just stop watching this right now, but if you do since I told you to buy 720 I’m going to right click. Download the file or you can just click on it, and then, it’s going to save.

So I’m using Safari right now, so this might be a little different for yours, all you could save go ahead and put it in here put on my computer C drive or whatever disk you have. The program folder on it, so program files and then go to your movie maker file or your folder. And when you get there click on shared and profiles and then save it there, since I already have it I’m not going to do it so I’m going to cancel. Click on this, and then you don’t need to browser anymore you’re done with that. And open up Windows Movie Maker and then were it says file, go click on import into collections. Go ahead were you save the .camrec and files of type click on all files. Find your camrec, right click on it and click extract. I should mean extract for I think version 5 and 6 six of Camtasia so click extract and click on the file and then go back to file types and click on video files. And now you should see your camrec file and .avi were converting them and we just wait to process built in to the camrec, those camrecs are actually avi. files.

Where going to that imports, and there you have it. Drag your arm to the time line and then end it, do what ever you want to it and then click file, save movie file with my computer next. I’ll save them to my document under the name movie and now click on next. Automatically, it’s going to save best quality for playback on my computer. Do not check that could show you more choices under settings, and go down WMV-HD and then your screen will resolution is to download it from papajohn.org and click on that and then next, and then there you have it your movie is HD with a camrec file using one of those movie maker that you did want me to convert.

You didn’t convert it; it will do anything to it. Or if you want to see the file and save, the time of extracting it which you could do is you can send it to save as a .avi file form the beginning under the options. I can’t show you right now because I’m actually using the recorder but right when you click on options. You should see the first two options under the main tab that save save as .camrec or save as .avi. Go and check that avi if you want that, and that is how you do it, that’s how you use Camtasia recorders on windows movie maker and put it on HD.
