Hey guys! This time I just want to share with you how you can rip your audio from your YouTube videos so we’ll be showing you two tricks on how to do that. And I’ll be using Secondhand Serenade’s Your Call because it’s one of my favorite songs. I’m just going to let you hear that, okay.
Okay so, first off is to download this as an FLV file, so you can use a third party software like Moya or YouTube downloader or Orbit which I had featured in one of my videos so I’ll just put the links in the description. So, this is one of my videos, it’s called download, play and convert YouTube videos. So, it tells you how to download your YouTube videos as an FLV file, play them and convert them. So let’s say, we had already downloaded the video of Secondhand Serenade’s Your Call which I did a while ago. So, this is my FLV file then we’re going to download FLV extract.
Well, it doesn’t take up much space in your RAM and it’s a very easy to use tool on how to extract your audios or videos without the audio of your YouTube videos. So anyway, I’m just going to open this one FLV extract and all you need to do here is to drop your FLV files. So, you can extract the video without the audio, the time codes and the audio itself without the video so that’s what we want and I’m just going to drag Your Call, my FLV file to this program. And there we go, so you can see the check here, it means it’s done so that’s pretty fast and pretty simple. And here is our MP3, so you can play this using any media player you have, I’ll just play it with Windows Media Player.
And there’s our song, so you can see here that the total time is four minutes and 11 seconds which is the same from our YouTube video, four minutes and 11 seconds so we got the whole song and it’s complete and we got our own Your Call song from this particular video. So, that’s a more complicated way of doing this and there’s an easier way of downloading or ripping your audio from your You Tube videos. To do that we just go to this site called the vixy.net which is an online FLV converter. So, this is vixy.net and it’s an online FLV converter, so you can download online videos directly to your PC, iPod or PSP and it’s for free. So, this is an easier way to do what I’ve done a while ago and it simply converts your FLV files to AVI, MOV for Mac, MP4, 3GP for mobile or MP3 which is what we want. So, we’re just going to get the audio and then we’re going to get the URL of our video, so we’re just going to copy this and then paste it here. Here we go and then start. So, we’re just going to wait for our MP3 to download, so as you can see this is the status bar, it’s quite fast especially if you have a faster internet connection or internet speed, alright.
Okay, so once your conversion is finished, you can now download your converted video. Well in this case, your MP3, so I’ve already done that and I got a little problem. So, I renamed this to Secondhand.MP3 and I’m going to use the Windows Media player to play it and unfortunately Windows Media player cannot play the file because the file is either corrupt or the player does not support the format that you’re trying to play. So, the format that we are trying to play is obviously MP3 so Windows Media player does support that so it just means our file is corrupted so it doesn’t work. Anyway, I advise you guys to try these yourselves maybe yours will work, so I don’t know what happened but my file apparently became corrupted so it sucks.
Anyway, as you can see here this is vixy.net beta so I know they’re going to develop a better converter, online converter and we just have to watch out for that. And the other format I haven’t tried yet so let’s just see what happens with other formats so you can also try these yourselves guys but apparently my MP3 didn’t worked. So, that’s one way doing this online and the other way is by extracting your YouTube video’s audio using an FLV extractor, alright? So, there you go, those are the tricks that I want to share, to all my subscribers, I appreciate the sub guys. If you have any question all about my videos or are there things related, please message me here on YouTube and I’ll get to them as soon as I can. And also please check out my YouTube partners. Tthey’re on my channel. More videos to come guys and as always, just have fun. See you.
