Male Speaker We want to introduce a new concept called “preparation time.”
Female Speaker Practice preparation time involves three steps that will prepare an athlete specifically for practice and improving performance. Combining the steps gives you the total athlete flexibility warm up.
Step number one is active exercises. This exercises work through full range of motion. From tendon attachment to tendon attachment using slow and control the movements
Step number two is stationary exercises. These exercises involve stretching from a stationary not static position. Rewind to continue to put stress and stretch on the muscle but not hold the stretch for a specified amount of time. We want to keep movement involve within the exercise.
Steps number three is innovation exercises. These exercises turn on or activate the explosive system within the body using short quick and explosive movements.
Male Speaker Other considerations that we want to think about these in this time period. One with be the move what mechanics in terms bio-mechanics for our sports. Meaning, if our sports has shoulder rotation, we need to understand the specifics of that joint movement or the lower body movements.
The second, thing we want to focus on is muscle contraction of eccentric and concentric or the shortening, lengthening of the muscle. We want to work both sides both directions.
Third we want to reinforce positive pattern of behavior or simulate patterns of behavior that happen during the competition, during our preparation time.
