How to Spread Glue with a Toothbrush

I've got these two boards right here to glue together for a tabletop I need to make. And what I want to do is get glue on the edge here so that I have just the perfect glue application, not too much, not too little. Let me show you a great way to make this happen. First part of it is steal a toothbrush from the house. You're going to want to keep it in the shop when you're done and not return it.

Next, I want to get a bit of glue, spread over the edge. What's cool about the toothbrush is that the bristles on the brush are just rigid enough. They do a perfect job of spreading this glue all the way down keeping your fingers out a bit. I know you like wiping them on your shop apron but this is going to keep your fingers nice and clean and provide the perfect film.

That’s just right, now I can get that and clamps. I know that I've got just the right amount of glue on there for this glue up. Take this brush to a sink. Wash it out. You'll be able to use over and over again.
