If you want to take an extreme close up of an object such as a flower, insect, or small item for an online listing, you can use the macro mode on your camera. Set the mode dial or button to macro on your camera enabling you to shoot up close. The macro option is sometimes represented by a flower icon. Check your cameras documentation to find out the particular focusing distance that macro mode is capable of. Compose your shot in the LCD screen or view finder. Focusing in macro mode can be tricky. So be sure that the focal point you want is in focus. If it isn’t you may have to adjust the subject or your camera. In addition, use a tripod to keep the shot steady. Press the shutter button halfway to give your camera a moment to establish the shot and focus. Press the shutter button the rest of the way to capture the image.
