Male: I'm here to show you just how quick and easy it is to go wireless. When you bring home a new printer, you need to install the software that came with your printer. With Epson, that’s a simple 15 minute process. All brands of printers require installing the printer driver to get your printer talking to your computer. By wireless, I mean setup your computer not just to work, but to work maybe from another part of the house or office, far from the printer’s location and with no wires attached. Now there are three basic ways to setup a wireless network. First, the easy Epson way. It’s quick and simple and get your printer to work through your wireless system by following the easy instructions that came with your printer. More on this in a bit. Secondly, the old cable hook up way. This involves connecting the printer to the computer using cable to setup. The disadvantage here is that since your printer’s not setup wirelessly, you may not be setting up your printer in the same place where it might finally be use. Now the third method is more complex. It’s called WPS, you heard of the term, it stands for wireless protected setup. If you already know that WPS is what you have at home, then that’s the method you want to use for your printer. How would you know? Well, look for this symbol or button. That would be right on your wireless router. If you see this button and if you have other devices at home, like other printers or scanners already setup for WPS. Then you need to setup any and all additional devices for WPS going forward. If you didn’t, you could end up with a complete failure of your wireless network. And you have to setup every single device from scratch all over again. So if you know you're already using WPS, you keep using it. Epson also offers this method, but it’s not suggested unless you are sure your network was set up for WPS support. At Epson, we've made our wireless all in ones easy to setup. And we do not require the user cables. We also don’t want you to risk failure of your current wireless network by using the WPS method. So, we recommend method numero uno. The Epson easy wifi setup. All you need is a wireless access point or router, the password for that wireless router, and the SSID or name of your network, and a computer. Let me show you quickly just how easy it is. Right on top, in the box was the start here guide. With basic step by step diagrams and instructions. So far, what I did before you tuned in was plug it in and turn on the power button. I selected English as my language. Put In the inks that came in the box. And loaded paper. So we’re ready to print our first test print. Now, on to the Epson easy wifi setup. For this, I'm following along in this networking guide that also came in the box. You need to know the name of your wireless network or SSID. And also your password. Known as either your WEP key or your WPA passphrase. The installer probably left you a handy reference with that info written down. This could well be the most complicated part for some people. Finding that info. But once you have it, the rest is a breeze. Using the setup wizard and the control panel on my own one, here's how. Choose the wireless local area network or LAN as your desired network setting. Then pick the name of your network. If you have it password protected, then you need to enter in your passphrase. Once I've entered my whole number, I press OK. Here's my chance to double check, it all looks correct. So I’ll press OK. Then I exit the network settings menu. And in less than two minutes I see this wifi indicator icon change. Here on the printer’s control panel. That’s what I was waiting for, I'm done. Seriously, how long did that take. Simple, right? Now I proceed to install the driver. Just follow the onscreen instructions to make sure your software’s installed properly. That wireless setup really was quick and painless. So bring home that Epson all in one with the wireless features. You can do it quickly and easily. Epson, easy wifi setup. Fast, easy, and reliable. Just like our products. Think about that. See you soon. Male2: Epson, exceed your vision.
