Hello this is David from Ace-Websites.com. You’re just about to watch the PREMIUM MEMBERS ONLY Wordpress Tutorial Help Video. I hope you really enjoy and I hope it will help you out. It will be great if in the end you can just leave me some feedback on my blog post or go over to my contact page and leave a comment there to just help me make better videos for the future. Thanks a lot. Here it goes.
In this video, I am going to show you ‘How to Set Up a Google Mail Account’. The idea behind this is to get Google email address. Now once you’ve got a Google email address, you’ve effectively got a Google Account. So now this is really quick video, but it is really important because once you go that account set up with your Google email address, it gives you access to lots of other things. In the later video one of the most powerful things you can do with Google I believe is to use the Google reader, which helps you to keep up-to-date with loads and loads of stuff.
So what we will do now very quickly is settle a brand new account with Google which will give you own Google email. By the way, Google email is by far the best free emails service in my opinion.
So if we go to Google and just type in Google email, they actually called it Gmail if you have look there. So click on that link. Now here I put in some of my details because I've got more than one Google account already. But what I am going to do is assume that I'm brand new to Google Mail and I am going to create an account.
So, I put in my name. Now it is already filled in my account details because I have already got an account so I need to take that off and I will type in “davidjhamer”. Now, what you need to do is check availability. Brilliant it says, “davidjhamer” is available. So what you will find probably quite often is the one you want is not actually available. So it will come up right here and tell you that. It will give you some other suggestions but luckily I found that that is available. So I can continue now, take out that password there. I sort of pre-fill that because I have an account with them. So I will give another password.
And if you want you can check this box here so it remembers you on your computer. So, if you log back into Google, it won’t keep asking you to fill any password. For now, I am going to leave that off because I have other accounts which I normally log in on.
The next section is gives you an option to take to an enable Web History. To find out more about that click on Learn More link and then decide whether you want to tick that on. And here it will give you security question so that if you do lose your password, it’ll ask you this question and if you get this question correct, it will send you your password. You need to make sure the question you choose, you definitely know the answer to or you could write your own question. So for example, you could write down “My first car” and type in the answer.
Next you need to put your secondary email. Normally because Google Mail is fairly recent, it has only been out for a few years, most people lure an email address and you probably do, so make sure you just put your normally email address and here just choose your location and another security capture thing here we need to fill in. And then you need to check Google’s Terms of Service and if you are happy with that click “I accept Create my account”. So it’s saying congratulation we have been accepted.
So now we can go over here to Show me my account. This is the basic Google mails screen and you can see straight away we've had couple of emails from the Google team. So all you do is click on it once and it just gives you some bit of information.
Go back to the Inbox. So, it’s talking here about the ability to access your Google email from your mobile phone. I actually do that with my iPhone, it is really good on the iPhone. Go back to Inbox. That is basically well do. I will just sign out and show you how that work and show you how it’s signed back in.
Again, it is bringing up my standard Google details so I’ll take those out. So normally for the first time you're doing this you probably have this fills blank. So all you need to do is put in your Username—and your Username is going to be first part of your email address. So in my case it is “davidjhamer” and then type in your password. In your case I would actually click this here so that next time you come to this screen you're automatically logged in. I do not need to do that, but if I were you I would then click sign in.
So we now back in the account. What I’m going to show you in the feature video is one of the best things I think Google offer. It’s this link here Google Reader. I’ll just quickly show you that now. I am going to show you this in different video so look out for it is really useful and it is going to help you keep on top of everything within your niche and your subject.
Alright, I've gone back into Google Mail now. That’s it, I have tried to keep it quick but it is really important video. It is really important to have a Google email address not just a fact it’s one of the best email systems there is. They're very good handlings spam and also you can have virtually an endless amount of emails coming in. Also the actual email system itself is brilliant, the way it can filter email and that kind of thing. I’ll probably make more videos in the future about that. But for now just sign up for that and once you have done that you’ve effectively opened up a Google account and from there with that email address, you can access lots of different things including Google Reader which I’ll got through in different video. Alright, that it is for now. Thank you.
That is the end of the video. I hope you really enjoyed it and I hope you found it useful. Most importantly, I hope you can be bale to do something good with it and it’s going to help you move forward with your blog or website.
This is one of a set of video made especially for my Premium Member Only. So I really appreciate the fact that you’ve taken time to watch it. I really appreciate the fact that you remember and if you could just leave a comment somewhere, preferably on the post for this actual video or if not just go to my comments page and let me know what you think I would really be grateful because it will help me improve videos for you and everyone else in the future.
That it is for now. Thanks a lot and I will see you soon.
