Hi, I’m Steve Phillips host of Great Cocktails.
When I walk into a cocktail party I’m stepping into a world that the host has created for me. And it almost instantly sets my mood for the evening and here is a few tips for setting the scene for our year next cocktail party.
You definitely want your pad to look like a party but you get those cheesy decorations. Create a hit back drop by lowering the lights putting out extra candles or paper lanterns. Stock up on fresh flowers and here is an idea to have fun with, you’re extra bar ware. You can create cocktail theme center pieces or use it to display your utensils swizzle stick and napkins.
Another intense and often overlooked mood center is aroma or scent. Pick up essential oil warmers and essential oils. For a Tiki theme try fruit or flower aromas. For holidays try peppermint or cinnamon. But whatever you’re fragrance keep it subtle you don’t want to obtains the cocktails. With the right ambience your party will be hottest ticket in town. ]
