Audra Lowe: We all know that cleaning your house shouldn't clean out your wallet. Jeanette Pavini has some tips that are easy on your budget and the environment. It's all in today's Better ways to Save.
Jeanette Pavini: Well you can save money on paper towels and sponges by using rags made from old t-shirts or towels. Then go to the kitchen cabinet. Your wood floors will shine if you wash them with a mixture of a white wine vinegar and water. No need to add soap. The vinegar strips the grind but leaves a shine. The all-star cleaner in the kitchen cabinet is baking soda. Use it to polish faucets and to clean sinks. Boil a few table spoons in a mug of water to clean the inside of a microwave. Make a paste and spread it on marble or for mica countertops, then rinse off and finally you can add it to your dishwasher to clean out smells and leave dishes shining.
Audra Lowe: And on Wednesday, Jeanette shows us how trying your friends clothes on for size could be the way to go when it comes to shopping sensibly.
Better aims to make your life "better" by focusing on trends, beauty breakthroughs, finances, fitness, decorating and all hot topics that affect your family and relationships.
