Female: Hey Clean House fans, here’s a helpful tip from Goto Guide, Matt Ivan.
Matty, this fireplace is gorgeous. However, I saw it before it was gorgeous.
So what do you do if you have a fireplace and you need to restore it?
Matty: Well a lot of old houses have very ornate fireplace is unfortunately during the years that sometime or another they often got painted over. And once you’ve paint over tile, it’s very difficult to get off.
You can’t really scrap it off. The solution is to use an epoxy and paint remover. That actually chemically pulls the paint of the tile and the grout. But after using that, the tiles are then more porous so it’s important to then seal the tiles and the grout so that they will preserve their gorgeous long lasting looks, and you’ll have a fireplace that looks like it did the way it was built.
