Hi, I am Mark McClain. I work for McClain Brothers Drywall.
We’ve been doing drywall for the past 18 years and we have been working on a lot of commercial projects and residential homes. Today, we are going to show you some basic drywall repairs. Some of the clips we are going to cover today are repairing nail pops, repairing bad seams in the drywall, repairing settlement cracks and repairing holes in the drywall. We will show you a clip on skimming and texturing each of those repairs and at the very end, we will give you some tips on painting.
Now, some of the tools that you might use would be a keyhole saw, a drywall knife, a pen, a knife, a some kind of a texturing method whether it be spray texture or a skip trial texture or some kind of a hand texture depending on what your finish would be. We would also use a screw gun, some masking machine, plastic and so forth to mask our area that we are working in. A new piece of drywall, vinyl mud’s and possibly, you can use some hot mud’s to get started depending on what you urgency is. Just make sure you put some plastic down to protect the floors and remove all the furniture away from the walls. Let's get started.
