How to Remove Ceiling Water Stains
Hi I am Mark Donovan from HomeAdditionPlus.com then today I am in a process of sealing some water stains on my ceiling. They are associated with a leak that occurred around the flashing associated with my chimney. Now I have already checked the attic to make sure there is no water damage or mold to happen in the attic. We’ve had the flashing repaired. So what I am about to do is apply a beam primer sealer to the surface of the ceiling prior to actually repainting the ceiling again. Prior actually of applying the beam sealer to the ceiling, I have laid some draft flats on the floor to make sure they do not get any spills on our carpet. Before actually applying the beam sealer to the ceiling make sure you prepare safety glasses because this sealer is quite loose and there is a tendency for the drip and you do not want to get the stuffs in your eyes. Now we are just simply applying the beam sealer to the stains and after about half hour this will be drying up to repaint. So that is really all there is to it to sealing a water stains on the ceiling. Make sure the roof leaks are resolved. Number two, make sure that any mold or mildew in that area likewise on the ceiling itself and then apply a beam sealer or similar to the surface wet or dry and then if necessarily, paint entire ceiling with the ceiling paint.
