Hi I’m Dave Epstein, this is Growing Wisdom.
And during the course of the winter, your ornamental grasses don’t look so good. So what do you do in the spring? Easy as pie, just cut them back straight to the ground as low as you can go. The key is, do it before the new growth starts. Just use some sharp shears and keep on cutting and do it early, there’s already some new green growth coming up. I can’t wait much longer.
And finally for these big grasses, use a ball of string. We already started one over here. Tie a nice little belt around it and it makes it a lot easier to cut. This is really unwieldy; this will be a lot easier. I’m going to cut this in about in about two seconds flat.
We’re going to say goodbye, comeback every week for all of our tips and help at GrowingWisdom.com.
