How to Prepare Pappadams

Pappadams are in East Indian crispy flat bread made from lento flower they come in very slavers like cumin and cracked pepper cumin otherwise known gera happens to be my favorite Pappadams can be fried bake or grilled and it great with many curry dishes.

If you cook them in the oven they will come out flat like this regardless of how you cook them the principles is the same just move them around a lot so they cook evenly I prefer to grill them as it give them a Smokey flavor and better color using tongs you can then twist them into various shapes creating a scoop for curries, I’ll only do them a few of the time because you must shape them while they’re still hot just twist and hold for a few seconds until the Pappadams harden in set.

Pappadams are delicious and simple to prepare and can be made well in advance just be sure be you make double what you think you may need because they do tend to go fast.
