Hello and welcome to another tutorial by me, Living Force. Today’s tutorial will be Superman, sorry! Today’s tutorial will be Eminem’s “When I’m Gone”. It’s in the key of B flat and it’s pretty easily played so I’ll break it down for you. So, I’ll start in the left hand, you do not have to worry what the pinky is doing because his plays the same in the thumb. So you’ll be fine. So, it’s going to be a G flat chord, in fact I’ll play it up here and show you while I’m playing. I’m playing this chord; G flat, A flat, B flat. And I’m playing the fit in between them. So, it’s going to be G, D flat, G flat [Demonstration] So, sorry, the camera, please hold there is right at where I’m at, right in the middle, so---- [Demonstration] So, now we’re going to add in the right hand melodies G, B flat, D flat, 1, 2, 3 second chord; A flat, and D, fourth chord or third chord; F minor. [Demonstration] So, those are all the chords on the play. They were done in order so let me run that back for you. So, first chord’s going to be a G flat, Second chord going to be just A flat and D, and in the third chord it’s going be a B flat inverted, F, B, flat D twice, you’re going to hit that twice and then back up to the G flat then down to F minor then back to the inverted B flat. That’s the whole entire sequence of the string section that you hear so, again from the top. [Demonstration] Twice, B flat twice [Demonstration] And when you finish the song or you want a transition over into another song, just end everything on the B flat chord like that. So, let me adjust the camera angle now that you know the right hand, I know everyone out there is dying out there to see what’s in the left hand and it’s nothing special happening down here. So, let me just shift it so there you go. So I’ll play a few bars of it and then any questions you just rewind back. [Demonstration] And you can end the B down here if you want or end that any dramatic way you want, you know, Eminem is a dramatic character, so here we go, I’ll add in both hands and play a little bit slower, so her we go. [Demonstration] So, let me actually rephrase that on the A minor chord, you want to play E flat not the D flat, I was thinking of that song so, my apologies. I’ll edit now we’re going to go on A flat and E flat, so— [Demonstration] So again, just remember it’s A, E flat. That’s the correction that I want to through out there so, again. [Demonstration] Okay, sorry about that, I just have a lot of songs just flying around of my head that all are in B flat or D flat or G flat or one of them. So here we go again. [Demonstration] So, you can end it that way or you can end it in a regular B flat chord. So, I think I did as much as I could; actually I’m just playing it a few more times so that people actually see my fingers better. [Demonstration] So, that’s pretty much it for Eminem’s “Without” or “When I’m gone”. So, find the instrumental or find the regular song and just play with it and you’ll have plenty of chances to get everything correct. So write these chords down and then go out and practice it until you can memorize it. It shouldn’t take that long to take it down. So, please enjoy it and play it forever. Thank you for watching and more tutorials will be coming in the future. Thank you.
