How to Play Suzy Q - Acoustic Guitar Lesson

Today I’m going to talk a little bit about riff the riff from Suzie Q more like John Fogerty ingredients Clear Revival debut in 1968. It revolves around E7 chord and very simple set of notes but what I like to make sure I have people do if I just play the notes; we got the low open E. The high D on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string I hope you will play that with your little finger because that’s keeping more in a shape of an E chord then the A on the 2nd fret of the 3rd string on the G string coming off quickly enough pull off to an open G so that’s a ¼ note on the E, ¼ note on the D which means their both down.
There are 8th notes on the A to G which means it’s a downward note. This G note is held for 2/8 so the D that we’re about to play is hit as enough and then you hammer on the E so we have this.
Last set of note E and A to B hammer-on open D and then a G really slowly.
Odd place to M but that’s the end of the measure. It doesn’t sound complete until you hear a base note hit again, but that’s the two measures that you need to play the two measure riff for Suzie Q.
