Welcome back to my lesson videos on how to play the violin. And today we’re going to learn a beginner’s song called Old McDonald have a Farm. And I will show you how to play that, walk you through it. We’re just going to start off on an open D. I’m going to play that.
And it’s now going to be a D three, so three of those. Then open D again. And D one, two of those. Open D and rest and an A one twice. And then A zero twice. And D three once. Rest, lift your bow. I shall repeat this whole first line.
And second line will be, rest up your bow. Seven B flat, open D and last line open D, D one twice, open D, rest, A one, rest, A zero twice and A three. This should be a pretty simple piece to play. All quarter notes and just play them on D and A string. Let’s go from the top to bottom without stopping together, let’s see how it goes.
