How to Play Music over Steam with HLDJ
Hey, guys. It’s me PhailtheQuail, part of TKS and today I will be teaching you how to play music through the microphone and any steam game. Now the first thing you’re going to need is obviously is a steam video. It has to be online wherein it has voice chat which I'm pretty sure most of you do. So you also need GoldWave, HDLJ video which I’ll show where to get that and dBpoweramp Music Converter.
Some computers already have this on their computer. Yeah, they have it. I think Vista does but if you don’t have HLDJ, go to www.hldj.org and go to downloads and then click right here, download with this release. It is always at the top and if you don’t have GoldWave I recommend download it from the torrent, unless you are one of those people that pays $50.00 per program that you’re going to need like 20k times in your life. You also need dBpoweramp like I said your computer might have it. But if you don’t just type in dBpoweramp converter in your search bar and it should be the first one that said dbpoweramp.com and you should be able to download it so just Google it.
The first thing you’re going to want to do is open dBpoweramp music converter and then choose the music you want, try and find music I did put and let’s try “Cars” by Gary. These are the settings. You’re going to want to convert to a wave file. You’re going to want to be 16-bit and 11 kilohertz and you have to click on Google and you also want it to be on one mode and it should be the first one. So this is where you will put it. It’s our output folder. This is where it will be. You should have it in HDLJ, like FD setup HLDJ you make an output or a place where the HLDJ take its music from and I recommend going to the file if you don’t have that folder already. It will create it for you so it will create the folder for you and then just go find it.
You go to browse, computer, local disk C, program files, get your HLDJ again and then audio and then sort and then it will be the target. The output location and then you click convert. It should take a few seconds. A long time they could finish, you may want to open and go get it, close first thing and click open and open the wave file. I always check my search of wave file.
And you may want to go equalizer, presets, reduce bass. This is really long so it will take more time. Then you want to go to equalizer again and depending on the spike levels of the audio. You definitely don’t want this to be under like the bottom of the under .05. I really want that to go under .05 which is this one right here right above the audio set and you also want to be under 1.0, so just move this, go to master decibel or db and just move it down a bit until and this is all trial and error so. Just try it and try it until you get it. There we go.
That’s exactly where should it be. Well actually guys, it’s a little bit over like that. It’s fine but this just is so it sounds better and we now close it and I’ll click save and it should be the same thing. Now close it and open and it shall be there after you have all the configuration and all that.
I wouldn’t recommend going to this here and click all, minimize on games automatically serve to the default game when the HLDJ starts. I would really recommend that so that we just open HLDJ and choose a game if you have multiple games. And then press the play button right here and that’ll cause the game that start with everything is selected. To configure HLDJ, when it says play key, I recommend that form because it doesn’t do any form or CS unless program it too.
But if you’re reaching over with your fingers to press F1 to shoot or something, you choose the engine and choose source which it would start like this has kind of like a wishbone. The play catches a form and you just type it in if you want. In a game plans you want to go to locals, computer local disk, program files, steam, steam apps, you choose your user name.
Choose a game and in this case counter strike source and see it’s right there and let’s add more game like if I already take this and if had tf2, I would choose this, team fortress 2 and I would change the game prompt to C, program files, steam, steam apps, crazyhamsters and it I would put out counter team fortress 2 and then tf2 right here. I don’t have team fortress 2 but definitely this would do so that’s how you do that and then you press start. And if you do the settings like I’ve showed you, you should have this.
Ok I think I need to restart it. A warning was just to tell me that it doesn’t recognize my video card. Because it is a direct RAM video card, it doesn’t have a good video card. So I can't place most of my apps on CS but like card house. It’s very difficult for me to play. It’s just DFDS is doing the same, so while we are waiting for this to load.
Once you’ve opened it you should have console. Type in LA for list audio and it will give all your music in alphabetical order like you never press one or two because they’re just like be weird. You press three when to choose a song. Three to as many as have like I have to ask later than the video after I have any queue of farewell songs and the various in the wtf file. And then you choose a different one like random and seventh. You type it in and it will go here.
Go into this server here, and it will start. Now, you press run auto. See now I'm here and I press F1. Let’s playing it or we can probably do that. There it’s playing. So that’s how you do that and you should be able to choose your songs like if you want to change songs, go to list and choose your own and then press console again and go to this one again. So that’s how you do that and subscribe to Techkid4473 and they show the music. They showed in TKS-HD.TK now to check out for more updates and thanks for watching. Bye.
