Hi! My name is Hope Heresko and I've worked in Tunica, Mississippi both at the dice table and at black jack and I've also dealt poker at Saint Petersburg Dog Track in Florida.
Today, we are going to go on and learn two different types of the game of solitaire. There are many, many different types of solitaire but I am going to start with one of my very favorites, which is called 7 line solitaire, at least that's the name I give it. It starts with one card up and six down. Then another card up, the next card up, the fourth card up, the fifth, the sixth and the seventh.
The object of this game is to get all the cards on top of the aces which we are going to put up there. We're going to put different colors that doesn't matter the suit, but we are going to put black on red, and red on black in order. So we are going to put the jack on the queen, the queen on the king. We do not put the 2 on the 3 because they are both black cards. In this game, it's not the suit that's important, but the color.
We are then going to count three cards and turn them over. We can only use the top card, a red 2 would go on a black 3 and ace must go up here. But now look, we have a 2, a black 2 of clubs can go on the ace of clubs. So we will put it there and turn this card.
Remember, when I put this two of clubs on the ace of clubs, the reason I can do that even though they are both black cards and they are both clubs is because the goal of this game, the aim of this game is to put all the cards in order on the four aces that hopefully will be at the top of this game and wipe out the rest of my hand.
I will then take three more cards. Now I have a 4 on top, it doesn't go anywhere. How about a 4 of spades, that also does not work. A 9 will not work for me, but I have an ace, all aces go at the top. Queen of diamonds can not go on a king. A 5 of clubs we have nowhere to put it. We can put the red jack on the black queen that will work for us and the two of spades we can put on the ace of spades because remember we want to get them all in order.
The 10 of hearts we can put on the black jack. Three more cards and we have a 7. The black 7 can go on the red 8. The black 10 can go on the red jack and I can move the 9 down. I can put the 6 on the 7, but look I have an empty spot, in order to fill that up I need a king. I can take this king from here to fill my spot. Oh, hurray! I have another ace.
Now I have all the aces out, that is good, because now I can put the 2 of hearts there and look where the 3 of hearts will go. It will go on top of the 2 of clubs. I see no other place at this time, so I will turn my cards over and start again. I am doing pretty well. I have a 4 of heart, you can go up here and my 9 can go here. No place for my jack I need a queen. Hurray! There is a queen and a jack to put my 10 here. My 3 of spades will go here, my 3 of diamonds will go here. I can put a 4 of spades and a 5 of spades, a 5 of hearts, a 6 of hearts, a 6 of spades, a 7 of spades, a 5 of diamonds, where will I put it? I can put it here.
Now I have a 4 and a 5, a 6 and a 7. A 7 of hearts, and 8 of clubs, I can't use my diamonds here because I don't have a 6, I have no 8. The game for me is finished, I was almost a winner. I was left with three cards under the jack. Pretty good for this game!
I hope you've enjoyed learning how to play the game of 7 line solitaire. The next game of solitaire we are going to learn is called clock solitaire and I hope you enjoy that also.
