Hey, we are back. I promise you here at Fantasma, this is the place to be. World’s largest magic shop in the world, endorse by the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
When ever you are in New York, you have to stop of on Fantasma to see some grate magic.
So anyway, we are going to do another trick; household item.
A pencil, a number 2 pencil,
Watch carefully, good trick,
The pencil will go right behind hands. I made a fist right on the pencil like that.
I hold on to my wrist and I squeeze,
Watch carefully, this is the magic.
By squeezing, I can actually open up every single finger and show you that the pencils stay suspended in mid air. But what is really nice about this and what I am going to teach you is look,
Even if I release my hand from my wrist, the pencil still stays suspended. Now, I want to know how that works.
Well, I will show you how but you have to promise do not tell anybody because a magician always has to keep a secret okay?
Here is the trick,
When this trick was first invented, it would like this; you take a pencil, you put it inside your hand, you squeeze your wrist like that,
You open up your fingers and the pencil will stay suspend just kind of cool it self but many, through the years, many people knew that the index finger was holding the pencil back there.
So, another clever magician came up with an idea were you can actually take a butter knife or a spoon. Usually, it is better done with a butter knife but I do not have one today so, I am using a spoon and what you do if you have a watch on, you just keep it there and nobody will know it is there.
That is were the spoon is.
Do not tell anybody please?
You just kind of walk around, you hold on to the pencil, you say you are going to do the trick and you will do the trick as you were doing it this way as I showed you before with your finger. And if somebody says you to take your hand away, well, guest what?
You have that benefit were you can actually take your hand away and this looks pretty, pretty magical. Just do not, just do not, whatever you do, just do not wave to people and go like that because you would really kill the whole thing so, that is the suspended pencil trick.
