Pre-accurate color with any digital camera, appropriate weight balance must be done. To obtain a proper weight balance with the Fuji S3, start by turning on the camera. Put the camera in one of the automatic modes. When using studio strobes, put the camera in manual.

Next, put the auto focus in manual, place the expodisc on the camera lens. Now, press the menu button. Press the down button to the custom white balance and press the right button. In the function screen, select custom one or custom two and remember which one has been selected. This feature allows the user to select between two preset custom white balances. Take a picture directly at the light source. If the screen says, “Over or under”, adjust the exposure accordingly.

After completing the correct exposure, make sure to press the function button and then set the custom one or custom two white balance.
